Unfortunately, in politics, what is put forth as thoughtful and authoritative commentary is often nothing more than baseless opinion; arrived at by the intentional distortion of facts. The purpose of this blog is to provide a collective critical commentary on any issue relating to the body politic. It will not pretend to be a definitive source of information. Rather, it will offer critical examination of assertions put forth by pundits, policy makers, ideologues, authors, and the like.
Over the next few weeks we'll be working on the formatting and layout to make the blog as visually pleasing as possible, without distracting from the content. Concise biographies of each main contributing author will be appearing shortly as well. This blog is also not a closed adventure. We'll be encouraging a variety of commentary, so if you have an idea you'd like to write about, let us know!
